Mother’s Day…

6 May

Maybe you have been so busy playing outside in the beautiful weather that you have forgotten Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12 (as in 6 days away)?  No need to panic because I’ve got you covered.  There are plenty of wonderful fibery ideas that almost any mom would get excited about.

Let’s start with the crafty moms…

If she loves color, we carry a full range of Quince & Co. yarns which come in 8 yarn weights and over 36 colors.  Most of the lines have a base of American wool.  They are a pleasure to work with and Quince has gorgeous pattern support including 12 of their most popular patterns in print!

If Mom is looking to knit/crochet a dream…  Swans Island merino/silk lace weight yarn looks and feels just like a dream.  This yarn comes in 540 yd. skeins in beautifully muted shades with names like “blush” and “sea glass”.

Perhaps there is a “mom-to-be” in the family.  We carry Jaggerspun Superlamb, a 100% wool yarn that is machine washable.  A perfect choice if you are knitting for a baby!

If Mom does not knit or crochet, Saco River Yarns has some manufactured items using locally sourced alpaca.  She will love the way her feet feel in alpaca blend socks.  And the striped and polka dotted patterns are a little fun and flirty too.

Still unsure.  No problem.  We have gift certificates in every size.  One way or the other… remember Mom this Sunday.

We will be closed on Saturday, May 11 so that I may attend my daughter’s graduation from the University of Maine so make sure you come in before Saturday.
